Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter “Terms”) set forth the conditions for use of “Mimo” (hereinafter “the Service”) provided by Kazuki Shibutani (Individual) (hereinafter “we” or “us”).

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.


Article 1 (Application)

  1. These Terms apply to all relationships between users and us regarding the use of the Service.
  2. Guidelines and other rules presented by us within the Service constitute a part of these Terms.

Article 2 (Conditions of Use)

  1. Users shall use the Service after agreeing to these Terms.
  2. We may restrict or suspend use in the following cases:
    • Violation of these Terms
    • Unauthorized use or suspected unauthorized use
    • Any other case we deem inappropriate

Article 3 (Data Processing and Storage)

  1. The Service does not store transcription results, summary results, audio data, or similar content on our servers.
  2. Data processing is performed by one of the following methods:
    • Local processing on the user’s device
    • Processing by external services based on API keys provided by the user
  3. We do not obtain, view, or store the content of user data.

Article 4 (Management of Account and Authentication Credentials)

  1. Authentication credentials such as OAuth access tokens and API keys are managed on the user’s device.
  2. We do not store these credentials on our servers.
  3. Users shall manage their authentication credentials at their own responsibility.

Article 5 (External Service Integrations)

  1. The Service may use external services including OpenAI, Notion, Google Drive, and others.
  2. Data transmission to external services is performed at the user’s own judgment and responsibility.
  3. We are not liable for issues arising from specification changes, failures, or discontinuation of external services.

Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)

Users shall not engage in the following acts when using the Service:

  • Acts that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
  • Criminal acts or assistance thereof
  • Infringement of the rights of us or third parties
  • Unauthorized access, reverse engineering, or other unauthorized analysis
  • Acts that violate the terms of external services
  • Acts that interfere with the operation of the Service
  • Any other acts we deem inappropriate

Article 7 (Intellectual Property Rights)

  1. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to us or legitimate rights holders.
  2. Rights to data entered or created by users belong, in principle, to the user.

Article 8 (Changes and Suspension of Service)

We may change or suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice in the following cases:

  • System maintenance or updates
  • Failures of external services
  • Force majeure such as natural disasters
  • Any other case where operation is deemed difficult

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

  1. The Service is provided “as is” and we make no warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
  2. The accuracy of speech recognition and summary results is not guaranteed. Users shall make final judgments at their own responsibility.
  3. We are not liable for damages arising from:
    • Failures, specification changes, or data breaches of external services
    • Inadequate API key management by the user
    • Issues arising from the user’s environment
    • Indirect or incidental damages related to the use of the Service
  4. This limitation does not apply in cases of our intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 10 (Restriction and Termination of Use)

We may restrict or suspend use without prior notice if a user violates these Terms.


Article 11 (Changes to Terms)

  1. We may change these Terms when deemed necessary.
  2. Revised Terms take effect when announced within the app or through other appropriate means.

Article 12 (Handling of Personal Information)

Personal information shall be handled in accordance with our separately established Privacy Policy.


Article 13 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
  2. In the event of a dispute regarding the Service, the court having jurisdiction over our place of residence shall be the court of exclusive jurisdiction for the first instance.
